Indoor cycling seems hard! Will I be able to hang?

Yes and yes ;-) Our ride at Ignite is going to challenge you, BUT you are in complete control of your ride. You control your resistance and decide what feels right for your body. You don't have to worry about your instructor calling you out or standing in front of your bike screaming at you to turn it up. We are a community of people here to support one another - you can expect that from your instructor, our staff, and all those on the bikes around you.

What should I wear?

A t-shirt or tank with form-fitting shorts or pants. Bring socks as well - we have free bike shoes for you so that you can clip into the bike.

What more do I need to do to prepare for my first ride?

Plan to guzzle water before, during, and after class & make sure you have a snack prior to arriving. These will help fuel your ride and help you to leave feeling exhilarated rather than exhausted.

This is kind of awkward, but why did my butt feel bruised after my first class?

This happens to just about everyone we’ve talked to (otherwise…trust us…we would not have included it in the FAQ)! That feeling will go away after 3-5 rides. It’s uncomfortable, we know. But it gives you something to look forward to down the road on your IC journey ;-)

What should I expect when I get to the studio?

We recommend you get to the studio at least 15 minutes before class begins. When you arrive, our front desk team will check you in and get your shoes.

I don’t want anyone to see me - should I book a bike on the back row?

You will actually be the MOST visible on our back row due to our lighting design. While we support you no matter where you want to sit, we know sometimes people want to feel out their first ride from a place that feels more private. The Bike Room is dark, so there’s a level of anonymity no matter where you sit, BUT if you want to hide a bit, we’d recommend a bike on the back row side bar (bikes 1-3 or 16-18) or middle row edges (bikes 19 & 26).

When you get into The Bike Room, our staff or instructor will set your bike up with you to find exactly the right settings for your body. They’ll also give you an overview of how to get the most out of your ride. Feel free to let them know any last minute questions before we turn the lights down and the music up.

Do you offer the first ride free?

You can book your first ride at our regular price. After your first ride, we offer 2 discounted options only available to first time riders. We have a 5 Ride Pack for $75 ($20 savings) or an unlimited month for $180 ($60 savings). Also, once you have an account with us, you can refer your friends and get money directly in your account when you do. Head to the My Info section of your account to get and share your referral code.
