Childcare FAQ

We are grateful to offer you some time for you while your little ones play at Ignite - and we know you want to be sure your kids are in the best care while you’re tapping it back!
Here are the answers to some of the most commonly asked childcare questions.

Do I have to book ahead of time?
Yes! In order to secure a spot in The Playroom, you must book a spot in advance of the session beginning. Walk-ins are not allowed. For the safety of your children and our team, spots in The Playroom are limited. Learn how to book your spot here.

What ages can come to The Playroom?
Spots in The Playroom are available for children 6 months to 10 years old (maximum age is a rising 5th grader).

Why is there a different series for younger children?
Your kids’ safety is our biggest priority. In order to provide the best quality care possible, we limit the number of children under 2 years old. Because there are toys with smaller pieces in The Playroom, we have a designated play area for children 6-24 months. The series for children 6-24 months is the same price as 2-10 year olds, but allows us to keep track of the number of kids in the little kids’ designated play area. In order to book a session, you must select the series that reflects your child’s age.

How much does a Childcare session cost?
A single Childcare session is $10, but you can buy a series of sessions for as little as $7.50 per session. If you are purchasing sessions for a 6-24 month old and would like to get the discount offered for 5 or 10 sessions, please email us at mountainbrook@ignitebhm.com and we will get those in your account.

Do you offer a discount for siblings?
The price of a Childcare session is the same for all children registering, however we do offer a discount for multiple sessions purchased.

Can I book my child from my account?
Your child(ren) must have their own account for you to book them. Once you’ve created their account, you must add them as a guest from your account. Check out how to do that here.

How do I get them booked through their account?
We’ve made an easy to follow guide for getting your little ones booked!

I’m not comfortable with my child hearing some of the music I’ve heard in the Ride or lobby.
Neither are we :-) Before and after Childcare sessions, the music in the lobby and The Bike Room is played from a non-explicit playlist, approved by our leadership team. During the Ride, playlists can have explicit lyrics. We’ve installed an acoustical ceiling in The Playroom and have white noise playing to keep children from hearing anything outside The Playroom while they’re in there.

Can I leave Ignite while my child is in The Playroom?
You must stay at Ignite while your child is in The Playroom. Leaving Ignite can result in permanent suspension from Childcare.

How long is a Childcare session?
Childcare begins 10 minutes before the Ride starts and ends 5 minutes after. You may drop your child off within 10 minutes of your Ride and must pick them up within 5 minutes of the Ride ending. Late charges apply for pickup past the window.

What kinds of activities are available in The Playroom?
You can expect the same excellence for your kids in The Playroom as you do for yourself in The Bike Room! We have all kinds of activities to keep your child having fun while they’re in our care. Coloring, Legos, train sets, and dolls to name just a few activities. We also have a TV and only play particular programs that have been approved by Ignite’s leadership.

What happens if I need to be notified of an issue regarding my child?
If your child has an emergency, a disciplinary issue, or is crying and inconsolable for 10 minutes, we will notify you, and you must come to The Playroom immediately.

Do you change diapers?
We cannot change your child’s diaper during a Childcare session. Please bring them to The Playroom with a clean, dry diaper.

What if my child needs to use the bathroom while they’re in The Playroom?
Children can leave The Playroom to use the restroom in an emergency. However, because a Ride may have explicit language, we encourage you to take your child to the restroom prior to dropping them off in The Playroom. Non-explicit music approved by our leadership team will be played in the common areas before and after the Ride - we cannot guarantee this during the Ride.

Can I drop a bottle off with my child?
We do not allow bottles, snacks, or gum of any kind. Children are allowed to bring a bottle with water only in a bottle with a non-removable cap (eg. pop top straw or mouth bottles).

What are all the Childcare policies?
It’s worth saying again - your children’s safety is our top priority. As such, we have a lot of policies in place to make The Playroom a safe, fun environment they look forward to coming back to! Please familiarize yourself with all the Childcare policies prior to dropping your child off for their first Childcare session.
