Instructor Auditions 2025

WHAT TO EXPECT

Application Period
Monday, September 8th - Monday, September 15th
Applications must be submitted by Monday, September 15th at 11:59pm. Late applications will not be considered.

Ride Test
Friday, September 19th
All applicants will complete a 45 minute Ride Test. One of our Instructors will instruct a typical Ignite Cycle Ride. We are looking for you to ride every pedal stroke and every move. We will inform applicants within 24 hours whether or not they will be invited to the next step.

Exhibition
Sunday, September 21st
Applicants that pass the Ride Test will be invited to Exhibition. Each applicant will instruct up to 2:00 of 2 songs to the group of applicants. We ask that you choose songs from different genres and with different tempos. You will instruct your first track, receive feedback, then instruct your second track. All applicants are expected to ride during all of Exhibition. We will inform applicants within 24 hours whether or not they will be invited to the next step.

Interviews
Monday, September 22nd - Wednesday, September 24th
A small group of applicants will be invited to interview following Exhibition. Interviews will be 30 minutes long and will take place with our leadership team.

Invitation
Friday, September 26th
Our leadership team will select 2-4 applicants to invite to the Ignite Cycle Training Program.

Ignite Cycle Training Program
November - December 2025
The Ignite Cycle Training Program is an intense course that will challenge you physically and mentally. ICTP requires a minimum of 10 in-studio hours each week as well as additional practice and work outside of the studio. All Instructors in training are required to attend the entire duration of every training session - any absences will result in dismissal from the program. Completion of the ICTP does not guarantee a spot on our Instructor team.
Trainings are tentatively scheduled for Monday and Wednesday evenings as well as Saturday mornings.

Going through the ICTP is a huge commitment - we expect excellence from all our Instructors, and that begins with our training program - it requires a lot of its participants, and will prepare you to become an outstanding Instructor…just like what you expect from your IC Instructors.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Experience
While no prior instructing experience is necessary, we require you’ve taken at least 50 Rides at Ignite prior to applications closing on September 15th. If you have not completed those Rides prior to that date, a bike will not be available for you in the September 19th audition.

Qualities
We value the diversity in personalities among all on our Instructor Team - we are better together because we all bring something unique to the table and to your experience as a Rider. There are, however, some qualities we all share and that we are looking for in auditions. Foremost among those is an ability to connect with others. A close second is a desire and ability to inspire those around them. Additionally, having the mindset they will do whatever it takes to get to where they want to be and having a strong internal locus of control sets our Instructors apart. And, of course, a love for Ignite and our community is everything.
